Hello World,
I just started a new diet yesterday. It's the Fat Smash Diet (made popular by Celebrity Fit Club). The first 9 days are a detox, which I definitely needed. To put it simply, I have been eating way too much sugar (cake) and carbs (also cake, and bagels).
The basics of the detox portion (Phase 1) is ...all the fruits and veggies I want. All the beans and legumes and tofu I want. Plus a normal portion of milk, oats, rice, tea, and yogurt.
I'm really excited about this because I'm getting used to cooking and eating real food. Not premade or frozen meals with a bunch of artificial stuff. And I'm filling up on the "good stuff". DH is struggling a bit because he misses meat (that comes in Phase 2), but I'm just happy to be learning about portions and eating healthy.
I actually have lost 3 pounds since Sunday night. Which is amazing, although probably only water weight, I will take it.
Exercise is a work in progress. I've been walking just about everywhere, which is a start, but I need to put the time in the gym just to make sure it counts.
New start weight (as of 2/28/10): 165. Today's weight (3/2/10): 162
It's a daily struggle in my weightloss journey. But hopefully I'll learn the right way to eat in the process.
